Requests
At this time, we do not accept unsolicited proposals; our grant application process is by invitation only. We are committed to a firm set of priorities to improve prosperity, and out of respect for your time, we kindly ask that you also not submit inquiries directly to Foundation staff members.
We appreciate Dallas-area qualified public NPOs with limited government assistance that can report metrics on outcomes that the grant helped accomplish, and typically we will not fund more than 5% of any operating budget or 25% of any program. We do not make loans or fund individuals, fraternal groups, athletic teams, for-profit entities, or foreign organizations that are not qualified under the U.S. IRS regulations. Furthermore, we do not support lobbying, other private foundations, fundraising events, conferences, or competitions.
Additionally, we value our knowledge sharing resources and alliances that help us cultivate our annual initiative focus:
National Center for Family Philanthropy
The Center for Effective Philanthropy
National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy
Past Beneficiaries
Even prior to forming the foundation, the family has reflected deeply about their purpose and mission, especially during times of crisis. The Kirkseys have proudly supported organizations including, but not limited to:
Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center
Children’s Medical Center Dallas
Southwestern Medical Foundation
